Bacteria in your gut change in response to your diet quickly. Over a matter of weeks, these changes may start to affect your health – making diet the single biggest influence on your gut health.
Here’s a quick hack: two tablespoons of chia seeds will provide you with roughly a third of your daily fibre needs. You can add chia seeds to so many things - smoothies, pasta sauces, soups, swirl through yoghurts or try the Chia Pudding below.
Chocolate Chia Pudding
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1.5 tablespoons raw cacao powder
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1 teaspoon real vanilla
- 1 teaspoon ceylon cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- Pinch of sea salt
Combine all ingredients in a blender then place in a small glass pot in the fridge over night or for 3 hours. Serve with your choice of yoghurt or fruit.
